2011-2012 Season
We are pleased to present to you the 2011-2012 season of Jeunesses Musicales of Canada (JMC), which, for more than 60 years, has been bringing you the finest musicians on the current scene. JMC’s mandate is not only to offer you excellent music through rich and varied programming but also, and above all, to expose you to musicians capable of demonstrating their instruments – and their artistry – with spirit and passion. Our intention remains, as always, to make the highest quality classical music available to the greatest number of
people.
This year, we are very happy to introduce you to talented pianist Justine Pelletier (Quebec) and amazing accordionist Jelena Milojevic (British Columbia). We are delighted to bring back an up-and-coming ensemble of women, the Cecilia String Quartet (Ontario). Finally, our opera production features Georges Bizet’s Carmen. This renowned opera will bring together some of the finest emerging artists on the opera scene. Don’t miss this chance to see an opera with costumes, sets, and lighting in a venue near you!
Whether you live in Quebec, Ontario, the Maritimes, or British Columbia, a concert awaits you!
